Product description
AeroBarrier is a stable, non-toxic, waterborne polymer-based sealant that provides a measured, precise airtightness solution through a scientific building sealing system. This patented technology uses a computerised process to hunt out leakage and apply a sealant that targets and seals gaps up to 12mm through a patented mist application. The sealant particles deposit only at leak sites where they build to form a complete and tight seal, remaining firmly in place for years while staying completely pliable and flexible.

Key technical specifications
- Material composition: Water-based acrylic polymer sealant
- Application method: Mist Coat Liquid Applied
- Sealing capacity: Seals leak up to 12 mm (½”) and as small as a human hair.
- Curing time: 30-60 minutes after application
- VOC content: Ultra-low VOC (meets LEED requirements)
- Durability: 30+ year performance expectancy
- Fire rating: Class A2 fire rating (EN13501)
- Temperature range: -40°C to 93°C after curing

Features and benefits
- Optimal installation: Most economical at weathertight (dry shell) or plaster boarding stage; can also be applied to unoccupied finished spaces
- Regulatory compliance: Provides any level of airtightness from current Building Regulations to exceeding Passivhaus Standards. Future proofed performance for Future Homes Standard and Net Zero Standards.
- Multi-family benefits: Reduces noise transmission, odour transfer, pest migration while enhancing climate control
- Targeted Adhesion: Sealant targets leakage points only; does not stick to airtight vertical surfaces (walls, windows, doors)
- Safety certification: UL GreenGuard Gold certified, Low VOC certified for usage in all building types
- Programme acceleration: Reduces envelope sealing timeframes from days/weeks to hours
- Cost efficiency: Allows optimisation of renewables and mechanical systems by improving building fabric performance

Compliance standards
- GreenGuard Gold Certification.
- EN13501 – A2 Fire Rating
- ASTM E84: Standard test method for surface burning characteristics of building materials.
- ASTM C719: Standard test method for adhesion and cohesion of elastomeric joint Ssealants under cyclic movement.
- ASTM D543: Standard practices for evaluating chemical compatibility.

Intended use
- Interior airtightness solution – compatible with all types of residential and commercial building types.
- Designed for application onto stable, solid internal surface – will not provide airtightness solution on exposed mineral wool.
- Permanently flexible and overpaintable solution – application either pre or post plasterboard.s
